Test Description

The Naglieri Nonverbal Ability Test (NNAT) assesses students' reasoning and problem solving abilities using universal geometric shapes arranged in colorful patterns and designs to evoke a response that will complete the pattern.  The test is characterized by the briefness of the instructions and length of testing time and its non-cultural basis.

The Northwest Regional ESD has offered testing services to districts across Oregon for over 15 years. Northwest Regional ESD will distribute tests, perform a quality review audit prior to scoring, electronically score tests, and print reports. The Naglieri instrument is primarily used for testing potential Talented and Gifted students. The test is 100% non-verbal and uses progressive matrices to measure students’ overall ability.
